The multilayer trough 3CP is the appropriate model for leafy crops.
It is made of 3 polythene bands; with them a superior level and two inner levels are made up. In the superior level or band there is a line of holes to lodge the seedlings. These holes are spaced at 10 cm.
The two inner levels are linked among them facilitating thus the creation of the necessary room for the root system of the plants when reaching their adult size.
This link also contributes to the essential oxygenation of nutrient solution and root thanks to the small cascades generated due to the internal perforated holes of these internal bands.
Given that they are small plants, crop lines can be placed near each other in groups of 4,5 or 6 lines forming benches with standard width (1,20 m) regardless the number of lines.
In order to facilitate the access of workers and auxiliary machinery, corridors of 60 cm are left between the benches.
The crop lines are created by means of supports like the one showed in the illustration which will be placed on the ground each 2,5 m, thus creating the aligned bases on which the multilayer trough lines will be placed.
Fixed support of 6 lines for leafy crops
Frontal and lateral layout of the arrangement of supports on the lines.
This system achieves plantation densities ranging from 110.000 to 165.000 plants/ha.
Although based on the fixed support system, this one has been equipped with wheels so that the sliding on the rails or guides is possible and thus achieving the mobility of lines.
In this case the crop benches are arranged one after another as not being necessary to leave a corridor between them. Only one corridor is left at the end of each tunnel.

This system allows achieving plantation densities up to 200.000 plants/ha
